Featured Speaker - Dr. Christian Thurstone

Dr. Thurstone is Director of Service of Behavioral Health Services at Denver Health and a professor of psychiatry at the University of Colorado Denver, where he conducts research on youth substance use and addiction. He is one of about four dozen physicians in the United States who are board-certified in general, child and adolescent and addictions psychiatry.

Dr. Thurstone is a clinician who has treated adolescents with mental health and substance use disorders, a presenter on prevention issues at the local, state, and national levels, a researcher, an advocate, a U.S. Army Major and a father of two teenagers.
